Annemarie Ni Churreáin is a poet from North West Donegal. Some of the major publications to feature her work include Poetry Ireland ReviewThe Stinging FlyThe SHOp, Agenda Poetry Journal and The London Magazine

In 2013, Annemarie was selected for the Emerging Writer Series at the Cork International Poetry Festival and the Poetry Ireland Introductions Series. More recently, she has been awarded literary fellowships by Akademie Schloss Solitude (Germany), JackKerouac House (Orlando) and Hawthornden Castle (Edinburgh). In 2016, Annemarie was the recipient of a Next Generation Artists Award from the Arts Council of Ireland. In 2017, Annemarie was appointed to the Writers In Prisons Panel co-funded by the Arts Council & the Department of Justice, Equality and Reform. She is second place winner of the 2017 Red Line Festival Poetry Award.

Annemarie is co-founder of Upstart and a 2011 graduate of the M.Phil Creative Writing at the Oscar Wilde Centre, TCD. Bloodroot is her debut collection.
