Tomaž Šalamun is a Slovenian and lives in Ljubljana. His books appeared in 20 languages. From time to time he teaches in the USA. His last spring semester was
at Michener Center for Writers at The University of Texas in 2011. His recent books translated into English are The Blue Tower (translated by Michael Biggins, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2011) and On the Tracks of Wild Game (translated by Sonja Kravanja, Ugly Duckling Presse, 2012). His recent two major prizes are Europäische Preiss in Münster, 2007 and Golden Wreath in Struga, 2009.
